I enjoy the Shrine. What do you think about this organization? The Imperial Council convention, just concluded, decided to keep all of the existing hospitals open. The membership also decided to rebuild the Galveston (TX) hospital, which was severely damaged in hurricane Ike in 2008.
What do you think about the Shrine? Some masons dislike the Shrine for various reasons. Most masons think it is an OK organization.
There is some discussion, about the Shrine "going off alone", and dropping the requirement that all Shriners must be Master Masons. _________________ Charles E. Martin

I can't see a problem with the Shrine personally.
While some say its just "tom-foolery" I personally don't see a reason why some light hearted ceremonies are a bad thing.
I have also heard about the rumours of the Shrine going independant, but do not know whether or not this is the case, however as an organisation they do a lot of good as far as I can see. _________________ Regards,
